Project Overview
BayStar Contracting completed a major commercial retail expansion and renovation in Tampa, Florida, transforming an existing retail store into a significantly larger, updated, and more functional space.
The project involved expanding the store into neighboring commercial spaces, requiring extensive demolition, layout modifications, flooring installation, painting, lighting upgrades, and construction of new customer and checkout areas.
The existing retail space needed additional square footage to accommodate the growing business and provide a better shopping experience. Expanding into the neighboring units meant the spaces had to be combined and redesigned to function as one cohesive retail store.
The renovation required modifications to walls, restrooms, entrances, lighting, flooring, dressing rooms, checkout areas, and other interior elements while also updating the exterior and parking areas.

Scope of Work
One of the biggest goals was making the expanded spaces feel like one complete retail store rather than several units joined together.
The new flooring, black ceiling, updated lighting, dressing rooms, retail racks, and redesigned checkout area created a consistent look throughout the building. The new layout also provided additional selling space and improved customer flow through the store.
Retail Interior Transformation
The transformation extended beyond the interior of the building. The existing glass entrance doors were relocated to work with the new store layout, and the exterior was repainted to give the expanded storefront a clean, updated appearance.
The parking lot was also repainted and restriped, helping complete the property's overall transformation.
Exterior & Entrance Improvements
The finished project transformed multiple neighboring commercial spaces into one large, modern retail environment.
